Lyon welcomed a selection of the best worldwide wines this year at their annual Concours General de Lyon. This is a competition which has gained a strong reputation thanks to their partners: Les Toques Blanches Lyonnaises, the Sommelier Association of Rhône-Alpes… There was enormous enthusiasm present with 7,645 samples tasted in 2019 from 40 countries and millions of bottles rewarded with medals. The international tasters coming from diverse sectors (oenologists, sommeliers, restaurant owners, producers, wine merchants, wine lovers), have made this competition an important event on everyone’s agenda.

The “family” wines are the foundations of Bordeaux Blends’ structure. This year again, the work of our family and our partners has been rewarded with a shower of medals and honours at the Concours Général de Lyon 2019:

• 8 family wines awarded with a Gold Medal
• 6 family wines awarded with a Silver Medal
